My favourite part of todays lesson was when Amy put her hand up - TopicsExpress

My favourite part of todays lesson was when Amy put her hand up (her mum orginally from Zimbabwe) to correct someone saying during apartheid that the whites had more wealth and money, to tell us all how actually they didnt have any of the wealth and money but had stolen it from Africa - told us how they had taken the diamond mines and wealth and even after they had won their so called freedom that 90% of blacks in Africa still lived in poverty and the wealth was still concentrated in the hands of a white minority, and how that was not the winning of their economic or political freedom! She said I dont know how you can say the whites had the wealth as they stole it and still have it. Wonderfully put :)
