My final Day in Denver with cousins! Our grandmothers (great grandmother) were sisters and entrepreneurs of the family before it was so popular. Mama Stewart had her own salon next to the house, catered parties for the rich and famous of Muskogee! Started Stewarts Cafe/Drive Inn w a old raggedy one bedroom windowless and doorless house! Aunt Veola(Cousin Lorraines mother), raised and adopted Foster Children, Aunt Gert had a barber shop next to her house and could bake rolls and pies that would make you hurt yourself. These AWSOME women did this after walking to and from work, where they cleaned,, ironed and help raise someone elses children and I didnt ever here them complain! My grandmother would rise early every Sunday morning before daybreak as my Aunts did to fix Sunday dinner, so it would be ready after church! These women are true Matriarchs! Oh and not it forget Aunt Mack who adopted a relatives child and raised several foster kids, some of whom we are still in touch today! And aunt Bert whom the community adopted, had her barber/beauty salon on the back if her house. The entreprenual mantle has been passed on as my cousins here and abroad are launching our into the deep. I have laughed so much ! The Bible says a Merry Heart good like a medicine! Love brought us together and will keep us together! At the end of the day, that is what really matters-Family and Love! Giving and receiving Love! Renewed in my Spirit and soul!
