My final rant for the 2014 election campaign - I promise! I want to take this opportunity to thank ALL of the people in the community who have taken the time to share a part of their life with me over the last 4 months. The best thing about being a candidate is the opportunity I have had to meet people from all walks of life and all corners of the electorate from Taiaroa Head to Middlemarch and every community in between. To the national team in Dunedin. Thank you doesn’t do it justice. It blows me away every day the commitment and sacrifice you have shown to the National party over the last few months is truly inspiring. To my campaign manager Rachel Bird, thank you for everything you have done over the last few months. You have given up so much, I wouldn’t have achieved half as much without you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Now to the voters. Tomorrow is about two clear options. One is to vote for a strong and stable government which has delivered results over the last 6 years despite the worse recession in 80 years and the CHCH earthquake. NZ is now the envy of nearly ALL OECD countries – why? Because of the strong and stable leadership of the Key led government. The other option is too scary to even mention. Don’t risk everything the NZ public and government has achieved over the last six years, we have a real opportunity to lock in the hard won gains, and set NZ up for the generations to come, by giving National your party vote tomorrow. Can I finish by thanking the incredible and inspiring national team here in Dunedin, Jess in CHCH and Jo, Cam, Stu & Haley, THANK YOU!
