Open Images in inDesign 10. Enlarge 11. Use Multiply Filter 12. Open in Photoshop 13. Duplicate 14. Difference Filter 15. See Space 16. Measures 5.7m across 17. Piece will be 4.5mm x 2.25m 18. No Money 19. Get out two roles of fabric picked up from a curtain shop in Bolton for free a couple of years ago. 20. Roll Fabric out to 4.5m 21. Pin Together 22. Roll edges in to fit in the sewing machine 23. Staple them so they don’t unravel 24. Sew 25. Hem the edges 26. Hang in the corridor 27. Draw a grid on the canvas using a red sharpie, a tape measure and an old piece of wood around 1.2m long. 28. The grid is made up of 10cm squares 29. Get Brian to help 30. Open file in photoshop 31. Split channels CMYK 32. Save the K channel 33. Create a grid the size of the piece divided by 10 in inDesign 34. Lay K channel over it 35. Put on A3 sheets so the whole image fits on 6 A3 36. Print out 37. Paint black layer on canvas 38. Realise you have painted too big so you cut out a bit in the middle of the design 39. Print out full colour image on the grid system 40. Start colouring the canvas in using old inks from screen printing jobs 41. Don’t keep within the design because thats not fun anymore 42. Take canvas down 43. Cut into strips then in half 44. Organise strips into colours 45. Get wood out of skip 46. Make 3 x wooden frames, 1.1m squared 47. Staple Fabric down two sides of the frame 48. Pull tight and staple the other sides to make a weave 49. Trim edges of fabric 50. Have three finished pieces of artwork 51. 81st Meridian West 52. Cecil Humphery-Smith 53.
