My first question since becoming a member of this great group. Went to an auction yesterday and purchased a flat of vintage jewelry. In the bottom corner of the flat I found this little carved frog sitting on some vines and leaves. It is heavy for its size and cool to the touch so I know its not plastic. Also know that the frog is a sign of good luck in China. It is 2 long x 1 1/2 wide. Could it possibly be jade? If so, where on the internet would I find out how to evaluate it? I know this site doesnt do it so Im not asking that. Am posting two pictures in the sun and two in the house. It is slightly translucent. Any help would be appreciated! Never had jade before so very green on the subject!
