My friend, Dianne Shook, passed away recently at age 61. She was a kind and inquisitive soul, and a very quick learner. Always cheerful with an infectious enthusiasm. Ill never forget the day in the 1980s when she showed me her brand new home computer that she just brought home from Radio Shack, and she was hooked from then on. I always got demonstrations about her latest technological discoveries. Dianne changed my life. She was the selling agent for our home in Reseda, which I have happily shared with my husband Greg for over 25 years. Dianne also got me into paper dolls. Well, I got there first, but she seized my passing interest and hired me to draw and design for her Benningham Mall Paper Doll software back in 1996. She introduced me to Coreldaw, which Ive used for 17 years for illustrations which require precision and replication. I became a late-in-life artist and ultimately some of my paper dolls were published. Dianne helped me attain a very rich life. Im sure I never thanked her enough. May she rest in peace.
