My friend Edward ONeil came over today with some bottles of mead and cider that he graciously donated so I could do some nitrogen cavitation experiments tonight and also have some to demonstrate the process with during the Brew Bubbas podcast next Wednesday night at Cap N Cork Homebrew Supply. We played with some various infusions, some were hits, and a few were...OK. One big surprise was lavender infused mead with the lavender I was given when I did the wedding at Yule Love It Lavender Farm last year. It was amazing, literally one of the best flavors Ive ever tasted. I am planning to make a couple gallons of this stuff. Honestly, it was romance in a bottle, as well as a very relaxing flavor. On the other hand we found out tat 1/8th of habanero in 2 ounces of mead is lethal. Had I been videoed while sampling it and the video put on youtube, it would have gone instantly viral. Really looking forward to demoing this process. Hopefully others in the brewing community will be exited about it as I am and will experiment on their own. Thanks again, my friend.
