My friend, Kim Green, is offering Integrative Meridian Therapy classes. You are welcome to message her if you are interested. Below is her class description. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For years it has been my understanding that the Meridians were used in Usuis Reiki because it was such an integral part of the culture which is not the western experience. Japanese Meridians can also be used in massage and were practiced widely in Amma or Anma Therapy by blind practitioners in Japan. There is another way of working with the meridians that is incorporated in Integrative Meridian Therapy through positional release. Please come to this class* (1 of 2) to learn 6 of the 12 meridians so you can incorporate this into your practice. Various techniques will be taught to insure that massage therapists, reiki practitioners and laypeople alike can get meaningful uses out of learning the Meridians. (Large Intestine/Lung/Stomach/Spleen/Pericardium/Triple Heater Channels will be taught.) This module offers the beginning techniques for Integrative Meridian Therapy and emphasizes that particular release technique, although others are shown. It uses the same theories, assessment tools, and meridian channels as in Shiatsu massage and Integrative Meridian Therapy. You will learn non-invasive forms of body positioning to release the meridians in this dynamic class as well as shiatsu techniques. Basics of anatomy & physiology are included as well as the nuances of energetic sensitivity in feeling the body’s own natural rhythms and waves. Intertwined with hands-on technique will be interactive exercises that promote self-care and deepening intuitive understanding of the body. This module will also cover history, terminology and the anatomy of Shiatsu massage. A strong emphasis on self-care is also taught. Pre-requisites: None.
