This is my list of book series that have enticed me over the years: Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery ( given to me in 1951) Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit series (3 generations of us have treasured these) Georges Simenon Jules Maigret series (discovered during my first visits to Bedford Public Library) Donna Leon Commisioner Guido Brunetti series(set in Venice and featuring Guidos wife and children) James Lee Burke Dave Robicheaux series(these books nearly reek of Louisiana) Debbie Macomber Cedar Cove series Monica Ferris Needlecraft series James Patterson The early Alex Cross series Lee Child Jack Reacher series (until Hollywood put Tom Cruise on the film) Carl Hiaasen Tourist Season and Double Whammy ( I respect his knowledge of the rape of Floridas natural resources) And lastly , two series beloved by my husband and grandgirl: The Hardy Boys by Franklin W Dixon Angelina Ballerina by Katherine Holabird I now challenge each of my FB friends to join in with favorite series reads, and please feel free to add just one or as many as you like.
