My friend and his friends have been biking across the US and they finally made it to California! Amazing. Crushingly small, but in a humbling way. Whenever we bike I get to people watch, whether we are in a gas station, a park, or even on the road, I love to imagine their lives, the concerns, fears, triumphs and failures. The idea of the snowflake is so apt. We are just background noise or just a mildly interesting occurrence in their lives. I just love thinking about that, and if I get lucky I hear their stories. -Colin King
