My friends- Im not sure how else to say it- I have been relatively quiet out of respect to my children, who wanted to talk to their own friends first. Three days after we received our one year clean scans, Lizzy tearfully reported that she had been having headaches.....since June. She didnt tell anyone, because she just wanted to be ok- maybe to will herself to be ok. The previous weeks scans were not of her head. Scans showed a tumor: outside, through and within her skull. The biopsy was the next day. It is the Ewings. Opting to fight again, (because as Lizzy says, its better than the alternative, Lizzy had a new port placed on Friday, along with 2 bone marrow biopsies. It is not in her bone marrow or anywhere else. Lizzy started chemo on Monday- 3 types. She will begin radiation on the 20th. For now, all I ask for is prayer. Prayer for her strength. Prayer for her sisters- Anneslee & Abby. Prayer for any form of peace. Prayer for a miracle. I have not said anything yet, because I have not known what to say; I havent wanted to share with your hearts the weight which is on mine. Yet- you have journeyed with us, and loved us. I am asking you to lift up and guard my family. Asking for support for Mike, who holds my head when I finally rest at night. I do not wish to discuss details, because they cause me pain, and are not important. Thank you for loving, and standing with / by us.
