My friends 79 280zx calofornia model does not let it rev past 5.5k in neutral,but will rev limit at roughly 6.7k rpm WOT in 3rd gear-4th gear My 79 280zx federal model with a non egr manifold Stock l28e 2 1/2 straight pipe Revs beyond 7.8k in neutral (never sat there with my foot down on the pedal tho only pumped it up so much to see how far it will go by just tapping it.)and still go rev past 7k rpm in gears 1-4, 5th is too long but were just comparing and wondering why his car is much more limited than mines yet same year,but with the exeption that his an egr equiped zx coupe and mines a 2+2 Both cars are manuel trans.any inputs??
