My friends fur kid went missing today! Heres what happened (sharing): It is with heavy heart and great sadness that I have lost my Monster tonight. We went to the dog park in Silverlake, before I could open the gate, he got spooked, wriggled out of his collar, leash, tag and all, and ran across the road. I had to hustle to get the other 2 dogs in the park, and then ran like the devil after him. But he was too fast. I got in my car after a nice man said he would hold on to Fergus and Finlay. I drove around for about 20 minutes trying to find him, but he was gone. Completely gone. I was then joined by Karen Manfrede, Nicolas Tomas, Lola Kay and her friend Derek, who spent their entire evenings driving around in the dark with flashlights looking for a terrified, 8lb dog. Alas he is gone. I am hoping that with all the love and cuddles he has been receiving he will be an easy catch for someone. Once hes caught, he can be scanned, and we can be reunited thanks to the brilliance of the chip. However, he is difficult to catch, and I hold very little hope for such a thing. Tomorrow I will put up flyers and continue the search, along with a CL ad for missing dog. I am sick sick sick to my stomach. For those who live in Silverlake, DTLA, Echo Park and anywhere else around that area, he is an 8lb Papillion/Chih mix, neutured male, brown and white, later years over 6 maybe, white paws, and very sweet. If you curl your hands up in the air and sweetly say donut donut he will get on his back for belly rubs. Come back to me Monster. I love you and miss you to pieces. Good night. Go vegan. Imagine.
