My friends, lets have a talk about horror... I, like many people, have a regular list of movies I watch on Halloween... but I also tend to watch a lot of horror all year long... My definition of horror may be a bit different. For example, Silence of the Lambs, although one of my favorite films, is not one that I consider horror (but Im glad it was classified as such - being the first horror film ever to win an Oscar for Best Picture, and third film ever to win all five top Oscars... pretty impressive!) For Halloween I used to include Halloween, of course, Pumpkinhead, Dark Night of the Scarecrow, Sleepy Hollow, Silver Bullet, and if I have time, Great Pumpkin. Ive added ones like Trick r Treat and Hocus Pocus... some years I do a theme - werewolves, vampires... but I have not decided on what to do this year (not in the best emotional place). What are your horror movie traditions for Halloween viewing?
