My girlfriend Maria and I will be moving to this beautiful city in mid-August and were really excited to start our Masters in September. So now we were wondering if anyone with Leiden-experience could give us tips on how to best tackle the house/room hunting process? Wed love to live in a colourful flat share, however, we would also get an apartment for ourselves if option 1 doesnt work out (and then obviously host amazing dress-up/board game house parties for all of you). Were living and working in London at the moment so we both have limited time to travel to Leiden, meet people and talk to landlords/agencies/possible roommates - therefore my specific questions would be: - When should we start contacting people in Leiden and when will rooms/apartments for August/September go on the market? - What are the common price ranges in Leiden (room/apartment)? - Is it easy to find rooms in flat shares for couples? - Is anyone of you looking for new roomies or replacements / does anyone know anyone who does? I know, its a lot of questions, but really, any help would be highly apprechiated my friends - I can repay in home-cooked meals or a drink! All the best from foggy London, Bernie and Maria
