My girlfriend asked me why she should vote YES in 4 sentences. This was my response. Comments welcome. :) You should vote yes because Scotland will get the government it votes for at every single election and not be governed by a party which it didnt elect democratically. You should vote Yes to protect Scotlands public services such as the NHS which although currently available for free, are under threat of privatisation from Westminster, particularly the NHS where decreasing Scotlands budget will eventually mean that we cannot afford not to privatise up here either. You should vote Yes because we can make the vast wealth of resources which Scotland has in renewable energy, education, food and drink, tourism, finacial services, creative industries, and people work for the people who live here, and make inroads to tackling poverty and social injustice in our society, whilst using the financial benefits of tailored economic policy to create jobs in all industries. And you should vote Yes so that whilst maintaining strong links with the rest of the UK in trade, culture and emotion, Scotland can finally stand up and be counted on the world stage and join the nations on this planet as a fair and just society who put people before profits, and equality before elitism.
