My good brothers and sisters, I feel the need to explain myself, to the people I care about, in a forum closed to people who do not matter. I stood as king of the Irish in this land, crowned in the old ways, naked before my people, the first in nearly a thousand years to wear the burden, not an easy weight to bear, and totally unworthy of such a task. For four years I was wed to the goddess, and poorly did I fulfull the responsibilities entrusted to me, such was the weight of the burden I shouldered, no man seeks the crown that knows the heft of it, nor the pains that one must endure. I was banned from the last Clontarf competition, the sole reason for my mandate as a fighter and competitor, and therefore stripped of my only reason for participating in any and all reenactment events, so have reluctantly retired from the movement altogether. This of course weighs heavily on my soul, but the will of lesser men prevails, and I can do nothing to allieviate the situation, I wish you all the very best, and count many of you as my most dearest friends, perhaps I will get to cross blades with you in another life.
