My good girl, my constant companion, my friend. Our journey together jad been wonderous. We have walked through valleys of dispair and climbed summits of elation. You were guardian and playmate to the 1st and 2nd generation of children in our family. You have endured hours of solitude just to great us at the door. Your reaction was always unrestrained joy. And if you could speak you would not say "where have you been? But rather "glad you are home". You were with me to welcome the Grandchildren, you grieved with me when we lost our beloved David. When I was surrounded in a clowd of overwhelming grief, you comforted me with a simple nudge of my hand. You did not need a voice to tell me you knew the pain I was in because you, my good girl, felt it too. I often joked that you were the only girl who has never left me. The truth is, like a true friend you stood with me in my fays of wickedness as well as my days of atonement and redemption. And now my Phoenix, your journey is ober, you can be at rest. You have done your job well. I promis you, as I hold you close as you drift off into eternal sleep, you will forever be a part of me, my good girl, my friend, my phoenix.
