My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. 2 Cor. 12:9 Perfect means both flawless and complete. He, my perfect companion, is with me. When I am feeling utterly weak, like I am this morning, I am comforted by the fact that He is near and filling up every gap in my being with His strength. He is with me. His expectation is not that I am suddenly smart enough to avoid every mistake, but that at every place on the road I will be confident of His love, His sovereignty, His ability to guide sheep that get stuck in thorns or deep wells. He wants relationship with us, and that means Hes always on the giving and rescuing side of the covenant. He does His work in us, but He is happy to be the perfect One, guiding us to maturity and wisdom as we follow.
