My granddaughter Natassia sent me this email yesterday My father wasn’t in my life at all. Matter a fact I think I’ve seen him 3 times my whole life. He didn’t even help my mom with child support. You never really know what it’s like having a dad so you never really miss it or even think about it. I wanna talk about my grandfather though.. My mom’s dad.. He raised my mom on his own her whole life as a single father. He never remarried or really had another significant love after my grandmother passed away when my mom was only 3yrs old. He is a vietnam vet, a college graduate and an amazing personality. I always think of how rare is it now a days to even have a father in your life at all but, how incredibility difficult it must have been to raise a baby girl all on your own. My grandpa spent so many years battling his own wars from literal ones to personal ones and no parent is perfect because, there is no handbook on being a parent especially on being a single father but, I am very proud of him for raising my mom and also being a father figure in my life as well. He still to this day is battling his demons and I just love him so much I want him to know how much I care for him and how cool I think he is for always remaining humorous against all the hardships he, my mom and I have faced growing together. Plus he’s bout to be the best Great Grandfather ever! Now I am going to post some of his pictures including his photoshop art.
