My grandfather lived at 26 Hill Street, Aberaman and my grandmother at 4 Providence Place, Cwmbach when they married in 1909. They later lived at 8 Morgan Row, Cwmbach. David Morgans was a colliery blacksmith and married Mary Ellen Davies when they were both 24 years old. Its a shame that I dont have a known photo of Mary Ellen, though I do know that she was born in Dowlais in 1884, but was brought up with her grandmother in Llanon, Ceredigion. I believe that she may have lost her mother at a very young age and that she later returned to Cwmbach to look after her father. The photo is that of David Morgans and may have been taken during the period he resided in the Aberdare area.
