My great grandfather had to leave his family in the Ukraine and come to America in 1900; turning his back knowing he would never see them here again.... He left them at a time when his village was very ill. He knew his family would die of sickness if not starvation first. The only thing i know about my great great grandparents was that they sent this One son to the United States at 14...He really was their one hope. When they sent off their son, they trusted in Gods preservation of my great grandfathers faith and theirs. It was the sole thing they could trust in order to be assured they would see each other again. Sending away their loved one was their sole motivator to pursue heaven. In this familial bond of love and having the knowledge that possible reunion could happen only in heaven, I am assured my great great parents, though i know Nothing else about them, were saints.
