My gut said go with the Chiefs and I didnt fully listen. I believe that is sort of echoed in my prediction post from last week. Going with my gut from now on. Getting these out of the way now because Disney. Week 4 predictions: Packers over Vikings - Minnesota was fantastic against Atlanta at home but have a tough out on a short week against a Green Bay team that found its legs this week as well. Discount double check. Panthers over Bears - Both teams are coming off big losses. I like Carolina at home here. Browns over Titans - Can you call this an upset pick? Is unproven team A better than unproven team B? Cleveland looks like a team on the rise, Tennessee just the opposite. The Browns were almost 3-0. Eagles over Rams - Coming off a bye week wont do much to help St Louis on the road against one of the best teams in the NFC. Giants over Falcons - Which Falcons team will show up? Which Giants team will show up? Two extremely talented quarterbacks could turn this one into a shoot out. Atlanta has been inconsistent, while the Giants seemed to have found their footing. Saints over Buccaneers - Being down here in Tampa right now, I can tell you first hand how big that win Sunday was for Buccaneers fans. And on the road no less. The Saints look like the Saints before Drew Brees. They need a win to get back on their feet. They always do well under the dome, and I expect them to rebound with a huge win here. Texans over Cowboys - The battle for Texas! Houstons defense versus Dallass offense! Im going with Houston based on the play of JJ Watt. If he can get to Tony Romo early and often and get the offense scrambling, this can get ugly quick. Conversely, if the Cowboys can get out to a quick lead, Houston lacks the tools on offense to make a comeback. Should actually be a really good game. Lions over Bills - It feels so good to be 3-1 and in sole possession of first place in the NFC North. Lets keep it up! The Bills dont have their identity and they are playing in our house. Part of winning the division is winning at home. Coming off a crucial road win, Detroit needs to defend Ford Field. And with the #4 ranked offense complimenting the #1 ranked DEFENSE, the Lions should be able to make quick work of the upstart Bills. Colts over Ravens - Indy has traction. Its in Indianapolis. Luck throws for four more TDs. Jaguars over Steelers - Its already looking like a lost season for Pittsburgh. They had one of the worst teams in the league beaten at home on Sunday and allowed them to still come back and get their first win. This one has all the makings of an upset. Pittsburgh is reeling and Jacksonville has been scrappy against certain teams. The Jags slowly get better each week, and could finally break through and get their first win at home. Broncos over Cardinals - Denver just doesnt lose consecutive games anymore. Both are coming off a bye. Its in Denver and as impressive as Arizona has been, I just cant see their offense hanging with Peyton Manning. Chiefs over 49ers - This is a game I have been waiting for because Alex Smith. Both teams earned crucial wins this week, and Im still kicking myself for not going with the Chiefs last week. I dont believe in the 49ers at all, and I expect them to get run over at home. Chargers over Jets - San Diego looks AWESOME this year. Philip Rivers is being Philip Rivers and that is not good for the Jets and their weak secondary. Rivers will absolutely carve them into pieces. I feel bad for Geno Smith. This is the game that will cost him his job, and then we sadly have to deal with Michael Vick being on the field again. Final score: Chargers 38, Jets 10. Patriots over Bengals - Tom Brady doesnt lose consecutive games. The Bengals are coming off a bye, and if my predictions hold true, will be the final unbeaten team headed into this fantastic Sunday Night game. I am honestly fence sitting on this one, and if I wasnt going to Walt Disney World tomorrow, I would be going back and forth on this one all week. Bottom line, this is not the same Patriots team from the last decade and a half. The Bengals are surging. Ive been quiet about it, but Im considering making them my pick to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. If they win here, in New England, that might become official. Seahawks over Redskins - Its the Seahawks. And the Redskins. Seattle wins by 35+. Bye week for Dolphins and Raiders.
