My hat is off to Jon Gheda Macc, #CJCD and all the organizations and their leadership for their participation in the Stop the Violence Rally. I felt honored to say a few words but I was inspired to see the faces that came out, young brillant people of voting age some with rough backgrounds like mine. I dont know what was going through everybody elses mind but I saw a glimpse of potential. In the men and women assembled, in the wisdom, love and concern shared I saw people deeply rooted in the hood with the essential elements to stop the senseless bloodshed of black on black murder. None of the politicans, big name preachers, police and the like was present only those who are the real solution to our own challenges. With those people, with that influence we could establish a voting block that would allow us to determine who is elected to office and enact policies that help reduce crime and violence.
