My heart goes out to those hostages free this morning and to those lost. It is heartwarming to feel the emotional wave pulsing out from Sydney over the past 24 hours. The actions of an unstable person could have brought out so much fear and anger. Instead, it brought out the essence of our friendly, peace-loving, easy-going, safe, beautiful city. People focused on sending love to the hostages, inter-faith services were held last night and those afraid to travel for fear of religious persecution are being supported by the #illridewithyou campaign sweeping Social media. My thoughts are with those whose lives were changed yesterday, may they all feel tightly embraced by love and support in the days and months ahead.
