My heart is broken for this family. It is my New Years resolution to get off my butt and get Elijah into swimming lessons. I have no excuse not to. Wed avoided it because the swim teachers at our local pool are just kids who are not interested in teaching, they are just teenagers hanging out at the pool. Not to even mention the sensory issues of such a echo filled building, full of weird smells. Luckily, we have heard that there is a swim coach at Missoula YMCA with extensive autism experience, so we will move forward on that. My son is autistic and we live two blocks from Flathead Lake.
