My heart is heavy today. Ive lost two people I know - one to the disease of cancer and the other to the disease of addiction. I know my why questions will remain unanswered, but still the pain remains.... I know I will find solace in my God. He will comfort me now as he has in the past but right at this moment my heart is hurting. I am reminded to thank him for the gift of love. My lifes passion is in helping those with addiction and psychological based illnesses. My own experience with cancer lends a special knowledge all in itself of what suffering that causes. The pain is real and can be devastatingly debilitating not just to the person dealing with the illness but to all those who surrounding that person. Today, take a moment to give that person who may be suffering some time. Time to vent, time to cry, time to hug, or maybe even just time to be alone. And as always...pray. Pray for peace, pray for comfort, and pray for wisdom.
