My heart is troubled by what I see. My thoughts are cluttered with everything I hear. My emotions are raw from being assaulted with images I wish I was never exposed to. The reality of this world continues to wage war on my senses, prodding me to think its hopeless. The anger in me builds to a crescendo of overwhelming magnitude, causing me to want to lash out and rid myself of this torture. That would be bliss. But then, another reality comes to mind. A lamb led to slaughter, mute, never uttering a sound. A sacrifice so brutal in its execution, I shudder to think of how it played out. A man crying out with a loud voice IT IS FINISHED! The battles may rage. The arguments may ensue and hatred will be poured out like a thunderstorm. But nothing will ever shade the power of one man dying on a cross for me. For you. Take this world and give me Jesus. There is nothing here that matters more than the assurance of knowing Jesus loves me.
