My house played an April Fools prank on me this morning. Not the people in my house... but the house itself. Most nights, Annabelle wakes up about 1am and cries until I lay down in her room on the floor... five minutes later, shes asleep, and I go back to bed. Occasionally Ill accidentally fall asleep for an hour or two and wake up, muscles aching. Last night was such night. Except while I was sound asleep, around 2:30 am, this horrific crashing sound jarred me awake. My eyes flicked open to see blurry items furniture flying around the room (I didnt have my glasses on... Im just about blind without them!) I jerked up, screamed with all the gusto of a woman being attacked in a horror film, and ran screaming into my bedroom. I have never felt such utter terror in my life. My hubby woke up, totally confused, not understanding why his wife would not stop screaming. I finally got out, Annabelles room. Crash, Scared, shaking. After finally getting awake enough to understand, he went into her room to find the below scene. One of her closet doors had crashed to the ground, totally flipping her Minnie Mouse table and one of the chairs, all just about a foot from where my sleeping head was (see pillow in picture.) I literally shook for about 30 minutes later. Thankfully Annabelle stopped crying after a few minutes. Lesson learned: I am a big WIMP!
