My, how time flown, 20 years ago, it was a late Friday into Saturday morning, I got a call from my brother that my nephew was born. Today, Matthew, 20 years ago God blessed your mom and dad with a son, their first son, as he blessed all of your family, but today, 20 years ago he blessed your dad’s side with the very first grandchild, very first nephew. I became an uncle for the very first time, your nina became and auntie. When I took this picture, it was the very first portrait of many to come, I was your very first baby sitter when your parents had to go to the market [I was so afraid I would break you in my hands.] You were the very first toddler I would fly across the country to bring you back home to us on the east coast [your mom didn’t give me extra diapers and so, yes you were in your wet underwear for everyone to see, and hear because you never went to sleep… “who’s that” who’s that” is what kept you from crying, the flight attendants loved you] I wish you today as buelo Francisco would say and buela Altagracia just said, “Que escandalo cuando nacio ese nino”, Happy Birthday we love you forever and ever and may you get all the wonderful blessings you so very much deserve today and every day, you will always be my “DEMOLITION KID”!!!
