My husband and I went to Red Lobster for my birthday lunch on - TopicsExpress

My husband and I went to Red Lobster for my birthday lunch on Friday. I was VERY disappointed. We both had the Ultimate feast, and split an order of fried clams. We both had Cesar salads and baked potatoes. The salad was just romaine lettuce with super sour Cesar dressing on it. ( I know it is sour, it is my favorite dressing, and I have it all the time, it is not supposed to taste that way.) The Feast comes with a lobster tail, crab legs, deep fried butterfly shrimp, and shrimp scampi. It costs a little over $25 a plate. Im not mad about the price, but the portions were half what they used to be. The food was subpar also. The crab legs were so old that many where hard and dry in their shells. The lobster tail was tiny, and the shrimp dishes both came with 5 shrimp. The baked potato was microwaved and hard as a rock. The only good thing was the Cheddar bay biscuits, but our waitress never brought more than the original three out, or offered to refill the basket. The waitress was terrible. She came by twice during our meal. Once, 15 minutes after she brought our food, she brought out a bowl for the shells. My husband sat through most of his meal with an empty glass. The final insult was the clams. I could get better clams at Long John Silvers, or the grocery store. I am fairly certain they were breaded in kindergarten paste and corn meal... They were nasty and chewy. I felt sick all evening after. I can not believe how bad that place has gotten. I would not mind paying the $60, if there was good food and good service. I contacted them, and they offered us a free lunch. I said,No thanks, Im never going back there. If it was one issue or maybe even two, Id probably give them another shot, but this was just too much. They have lost our business for good.
