My husband has 9 lives..... God saved him from the jaws of death, - TopicsExpress

My husband has 9 lives..... God saved him from the jaws of death, not once, twice, thrice but nine times..Amen. On Wednesday we had been to the Madras Medical Mission at Mogapair for his tests and check ups .... one test was not completed.. but paid in full for... and we were asked to return on Friday *23rd October 2013 (Yesterday at 2 PM).. we reached well in time.. I kept him in the room for the test.. papers were given in.. they then asked me to go and buy some materials for the test.. I did so , it cost another Rs 900 ! I then rushed to the car to collect the mobile phone my hubby forgot and left it behind.. On my return I found they were taking him to the CCU ward.. so I refused to have him enter that room for fear that he would never come out soon ... as he already spent two and ahalf months in the hospital.. then they tried to explain to me that unless he is in bed can they put the part on his wrist to inject a substance to help and make his heart beat faster and then get him on the thread mill.... I did not know the seriousness of all this as some thing was scribbled on a tiny bit of a paper by the doctor who the Consultant had asked to do this.. no one made out what it was on Wednesday and the accountant managed to get the OP receptionist to write this down in block letters on Wednesday.. so it was being carried out today... in a few more minutes... I decided to take a small nap,.. my 40 winks.. so I settled on the sofa out side this testing room.. and fell asleep ..deep sleep.. suddenly the attender came and said.. Doctor wants you ... I jumped up and entered the room.. where Thyab was on the bed with the computer all set etc... the doctor incharge asked why is he doing this test today.. which doctor told you he has to do this... I answered and then she said... I have a doubt I am waiting for the Heart specialist to come and be here while we carry out this test....My fear took the better of me and I told her to call Doctor Ulas.. she refused saying.. He will shout if I disturb him... wait for some more time for the Cardiologist he is busy but he will come.. it was now 4 30 PM and I said.. its too late... he is on PD solution (Dialysis ) I have to drive back to Pallikaanai .. it will be dark ... she then took the line to that cardiologist who told her to check the file of the patient once more... on this attempt she was nervous... I could read her inside out so I dialled the Consultant and he answered at once... when I told him they are in doubt as to if they should perform the Dobuctumine stress echo.... I read this word from the one the OP receptionist has written on the back of that little chit of a prescription.... and he screamed into the phone... No way.. who told you he has to do this.. I gave him two names of his assistants.. he was so furious he said give me the woman who is there in charge.. so Dr.Bharathi had to speak to Dr.Ulas.. and I could hear him blasting her and saying just send them to my room at once.. do not carry out any thing like this.. he will drop dead on the spot if you try to do thitest.... at once I told my hubby to get off the bed and ress up and we rushed to the doctor in his cabin as I had a ward body with the wheel chair all the time with us from the time we entered the hospital.... She tried to give some explanation for this mix up and grave mistake by who ever translated the words on that bit of paper.. she said.. dont worry I will refund the whole amount... I looked her up and down and told her I was going to report this matter to the press,. after paying all told Rs 8 lakhs for the two and half month inside the MMM... he would have died in 2 minutes if they had to start the machine for this test... God is great... we meet his Heart consultant and then drove off for such a late feed... then we went home and had our cool drinks.. thanks god and tried to sleep.. we were so restless the whole night long.... but I tell you this.. Surely his guardian angel was watching over my hubby right form the day he entered the MMM... the chief doctors who took care of him were wonderful but the rest of the staff... were so:so..... spoiling the name of these great men of Medicine>... Amen.
