My husband has mentioned a few times today, and wrote it in a card that it has been an amazing two years... it really had been. It hasnt been amazing because it has been perfect. We have had lots of struggles and late night arguments. There have been many frustrations as we have both had to adjust and adapt to blending our lives. We have had lots of times when we had no idea how to go on another DAY as a couple... never mind a month or year. There are plenty of times when our backgrounds, experiences, basic nature, and beliefs, cause conflict and chaos. But still.....mixed into those rocky times, were a great many late nights giggling and acting silly, laughing about things others would surely find goofy. We have made sure to give each other lots of cuddles and kisses. We still fall asleep in each others arms each night. The kitchen has proven to be the perfect spot for a slow dance or two while dinner is cooking, and according to the kids we should get a room much more often. We have both become better as individuals for having the love and support of the other. Yep, It has been amazing, in all of its inconsistencies and imperfections. Amazing to keep fighting FOR each other... even if (and sometimes while) we fight WITH each other, too. I love us, and every amazing experience that has brought us here, even if they werent all perfect :)
