My husband installed a solar heat collector, to preheat the water, - TopicsExpress

My husband installed a solar heat collector, to preheat the water, not make electricity from the sun. the water comes in the pipes between 65 and 70 during the summer months and the heat gain from the sun causes the water to warm up to 95 and on up to 126 (today) the hot water heater cuts off at 125 degrees.. It has been hotter on hotter summer days and will fluctuate with changing weather conditions but this is a money saving, environment saving result. There are 250 gallons of water in the preheated reservoir which is insulated and stays hot a very long time.
