My intention is to fill up Facebook with flowers to break the saturation of negative images and videos on your timeline. The human flower I have posted is the woman who influenced and helped to shape the woman I would become. At least she tried. I was rather headstrong. Shes my Grandmother Violet Amanda Simon Horton. After raising her own set of children, she and my Grandfather opened their arms and home to my Mom and me and they went through that kind of drama all over again and, as far as I knew, they loved every minute of the task. The cup of violets, I chose because it represents my Grandmothers gift of hospitality. She was a hard working lady who always had time for people who needed to talk over the backyard fence or on the telephone or who might, unexpectantly show up on the doorstep just before dinner (there was always enough to share.) She was a real Home maker and I thank her for her guidance and love. Thank you, Kim Ada, for choosing the violet as my flower. (It certainly opened a flood of memories!) If you like this post, I will give you a flower to post on your timeline.
