My kids were watching a show where the characters met a pirate who wanted to join them on their adventure. One of them asked Arent pirates bad guys? Another one said: There can be good pirates too. Excuse me?! A pirate is a person who attacks, commits illegal acts of violence and thievery on ships at sea or on the shore. A plunderer or predator. Or steals things that dont belong to them. Holds people hostage. The definition of a pirate is that theyre a law breaking, murderous thief, or reproduces and/or uses things without permission. There is no such thing as a good pirate.
