So why is it that when cops cross line and willfully commit malpractice the taxpayers are required to cover the damages and settlements? Dya think that were law enforcement personal required to purchase malpractice insurance out of pocket they might think twice rather than shooting thrice (usually center-mass -- Im thinking this cop wasnt such a good shot else the victim would be dead). But aint it time that the taxpayers demand that their employees carry insurance that THEY pay for without any other taxpayer assistance other then the wages contracted? Who knows what could follow? Those pesky taxpayers might start demanding that their Peoples Business managers undergo Performance Reviews! How many current elected lawmakers can list all the campaigning promises they have fulfilled? How many times have their promises been deleted, modified or back-shelf ed till the next election cycle. As long as the tax payers get stuck will the malpractice costs the malpractice will continue.. Who are the ones always chanting Personal accountability? Demanding of others but, not of self?
