My last year of organized schooling starts today. The first day of kindergarten I wore a pink polo, a pair of patterned shorts, and red Converse All Stars. I had Mrs. Matlack and her son Mark swindled me out of my lunch money. I made friends with the late Brandon Watson and Jake Leppert. There were a myriad of other faces, but those were the things I remember. Today, law school is inherently the same. I am wearing a pair of khaki shorts, a plaid oxford and flip flops. I have 4 classes with various professors. The school steals my lunch money with book fees and I have more people I can call “Friend” than I can count. Not much has changed in nearly 20 years... but damn it... this is the last time I’ll be able to say that.
