My letter of resignation: Dear HR: I am a Line Haul driver for xxxx here in Fresno. On June 4, 2013, I received notice from the corporate office of their intention to close the Fresno Terminal as of August 3, 2013. With the uncertainty of the actual closing date and termination of operations at the Fresno location with all existing employees trying to obtain employment at other companies, misleading statements, an unwillingness to keep morale at an optimum, misdirection, and just plain lies direct to my face, I have secured a new working relationship with another employer. This letter serves as my notification of resignation of my position as Line Haul driver with xxxx in Fresno, CA effective June 23, 2013. I shall, physically, perform my prescribed job duties June 10 – 15, 2013, then use my pre-approved vacation days on June 17 – 21, 2013. I request xxxx to continue using my existing direct deposit until employment has terminated. All property of xxxx, including, but not limited to office key, uniforms, and ComData card shall be turned in to the Fresno Office at the completion of my shift on June 15, 2013.
