My life has been like a roller coaster. It started off slow and peaceful. The hill in front of me seemed bigger than life it self. When I think bk I remember how I use to sit alone with my grandmother. We would talk for hrs.. she stayed on a old country gravel road. With one dim street light. A car would pass by every few hrs but that was it. The sound of the crickets was the only gossip u heard. She was blind. She use to take greens and roll them up in her hand. She would cut them with a old knife that she kept in her house coat. She had to feel for the sugar and salt but she always knew where they where. I use to just sit and watch. Regardless of her situation. She always kept a smile on her face. The only time I seen her get upset. Was when she was displeased by the way her children. Were acting towards each other. She said she didnt raise them that way.. those are the times that made me who I am. Taught me what was important in life. Then the roller coaster started down hill in a hurry. Money cars and clouths. I made a Whole lot of mistakes. But I always thought of my grandmother. Im happy about those mistakes, because I learned from them. Like I learned from her. She taught me many things, but one thing she always said was. A man is not anything without his word. A can see her feeling her way down the hallway. She would always say. Im going to bed now.. See you in the morning. . One morning that morning didnt come.
