My life is pretty much a shambles right now, as Mike and I deal with his health issues and there are a host of fun other life/work issues. However, a weekend away in Sebastapol at our favorite studio getaway is helping. I love my grand-daughter, but sometimes (at age 60), some quiet and spacious time away from her (and I suspect vice-versa is true), is a good thing. Seeing the photos of the devastation in the Phillippines is also helping me have perspective--while what we are experiencing is definitely an 8 on your personal life sucks scale, it is NOT a 10. Thank you to the lovely folks at Peter Lowells who let me quietly work while Mike got a massage, and thank you to the folks at Gypsy Cafe who have fed us breakfast each day. Thank you to Iron Horse who offered me wonderful sips of lovely sparkling wines while I looked out across a simply perfect fall landscape in the warm sunshine. And, thank you to Joanne who offers us (at a price we can afford) this wonderful studio apartment with all of its amenities and treats.
