My long overdue letter to my sanguine husband Part 1 My dear husband,Dear, I have got to write you today. I know you don’t really like reading long stuffs so I will make this as snappy as ever as I want you to read every line of words and every word on the lines. I sincerely love you and appreciate you deeply. You are a great man! How I love your exuberant, excited, and animated posture to life. I guess that was what attracted me to you as I just saw in you what I lacked. In as much as I appreciate you a great deal, I am still trying to understand you. I know you are kind-hearted and you would not want to hurt me deliberately. You are so lively and I really enjoy that part of you. I enjoy the fact that you are fun loving, jovial and very playful. Your loud laughter is so endearing but I am beginning to think that life is not just about fun. A lot of times, we have missed great opportunities because you are carefree. I feel there have been some issues that we ought to have taken seriously that would have been to the advantage of the family, but you kind of let them slip away while you are having fun. Sweetheart, your saving culture is not encouraging for our family. You are very impulsive when it comes to buying stuffs. It seems you love to live for today and we have had to endure some crisis which are preventable. You don’t even seem to take your health seriously. You are not decisive when it comes to the things you should stand for and it hurts me to see people take you for granted. Oh how that hurts me? People barge into your life and you allow it, laughing with them and after all the mess created, you come back to me and unleash the after effects on me. Is that fair, honey? We had to suffer financially many times because you gave people money emotionally. You have so many friends, too many friends that our house often looks like a tourist center! If they don’t visit, you will visit them and you kind of live for people. You are always making other people laugh except me! Everything is just fun. Can we be serious a little? I also think you should spend more time with your family than you spend outside. I am not complaining, but dear, the truth is that I miss you when you are not here and I get jealous when your friends talk about how exciting you are while I don’t seem to get any enjoyment. Are you catching my drift? To be continued Posted by Dunamis Tunde Okunowo
