My lovely couple Melissa and Matt got married this weekend at The Byre At Inchyra. 2 minutes before the bride was ready to leave the house and walk down the apple aisle the heavens literally opened and a garden full of lovely guests sheltered in the pavilion. Guests laughed and joked and got to know each other very quickly. My team prompted much hilarity standing in the rain with bags (sustainable) over our heads. With the help of the fabulous wonderful Inchyra team, we moved the wedding into the Byre, the bride arrived - glowing and beaming and with eyes only for lovely Matt. I have never ever heard such heart felt vows from groom to bride. Everything was running late. Nobody cared. Everyone was there to celebrate the marriage of a lovely lovely couple and the day was a joy. And the next day, amidst all of the excitement, Melissa and Matt still found time to send me a thankyou: Dear Carole We somehow didnt get to say goodbye yesterday! Thank you so much for the wonderful food at our wedding - we have had so many comments about how amazing it was, and everyone had different favourites: I heard a lot of praise for the starter, lots of people loved the stew, and the seafood also got lots of compliments... And I even had someone who couldnt stop raving about the pearl barley salad! As well as the amazing meal you prepared, we loved working with you for your warmth, flair and the enthusiasm, which your whole team shared too.. And of course thanks for the last minute moving of pies and pimms when the heavens opened! They looked perfect despite the upheaval (especially the very cute presentation of our glasses!)
