My memories of this Godly manly giant of a man are so clear. I remember THE handshake, strong, firm, caring. The smile - warm, empathetic, full of the love of the Savior he so obviously knew. The voice - kind, masculine but gentle, concerned for others... Then there were the eyes, no one could meet this man and not notice not only their intensity, intelligence and good looks but the kindness behind those eyes. He truly exuded a sense of caring for others that can only be described as Christ like. You meet lots of people in your life and so many of them carry a sign announcing that they are a Christian. This man didnt need to carry a sign. He lived his Christianity in everything he did. Like so many others, my life has been enriched and blessed in having known him. Doubly so for having been fortunate enough to grow up with him in my life. I look forward to seeing him again someday and shaking that hand, hearing that voice and looking into those kind eyes. What a day that will be for all of us!
