My mom and dad both had dementia. Moms diagnosis was Alzheimers; - TopicsExpress

My mom and dad both had dementia. Moms diagnosis was Alzheimers; and, my Dads was vascular dementia. In retrospect, they both had early hallucinations, early dream acting and early tremors just like me. I can only speculate they may very well actually have had LBD. During their journey, I often wondered what their thoughts might be. After I returned home on the day of my diagnosis, I told Judy Shaver Bowles and Ashley Bowles Reed that I wanted to keep a journal on my journey with the hope that other persons with LBD, caregivers and others might be helped. This is why I have chosen to be so transparent about my journey with LBD. I do not ever want anyone to feel sorry for me or be discouraged. This is just part of live. My purpose is to demonstrate there is life after a diagnosis of dementia. We just have to compensate in some areas of our life. Life is good; and, I am blessed beyond measure. Living with LBD well! May each of you enjoy peace and joy in your life!
