My mom has a really good friend who is about to die from cancer. When she was first diagnosed, this friend’s husband told her that she brought the cancer upon herself because she doesn’t eat paleo. As a result, my mom and I were both extremely anti-paleo for a long time. We are still anti-labels, but due to her RA and my eczema, we both now recognize that it has some good principles. It really is unfortunate that this man was so zealous about his diet. Something we all need to remember is the importance of not treating nutrition as a religion.
