My mom surprised me this morning by walking over. I was so happy, that she felt well enough for a short walk in my direction. We had coffee and breakfast, chatted and visited. She shared with me something that happen to her on Christmas Eve........ She was ready to go to mid day mass at Holy Cross. My nephew dropped her off, when mass was over she waited for my sister thinking my nephew let her know she would need a ride home. She then felt she waited a while and began walking home, thinking my sister would pick her up on the way. She walked a short distance when a car came near and a lovely little old lady asked if she could give my mom a ride home. My mom accepted got in and they introduced themselves. My moms name is old country and not common, my name is Domitilia Rodriguez she shared. My mom said, the little lady then paused and began to cry. My mom asked, whats wrong are you ok? The little lady about in her 70s then replied, that was my mothers name. Then they began to cry. :) God has always watched over my mom. He has blessed her with many friends and has sent strangers who have become friends. It was ment to be that mom start that short long walk home and that little lady offer to pick her up. God sent my mom a safe ride home and at the same time brought a beautiful memory to that sweet sweet lady. They were a Blessing to each other. :)
