My mom taught me that: NOTHING IS TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL TO PRAY - TopicsExpress

My mom taught me that: NOTHING IS TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL TO PRAY ABOUT. My introduction to prayer was wandering into a prayer meeting my mom was having with her sisters. I was unsaved and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Before I was saved and after, she prayed for my cars, my safety, illnesses, tests, girls, and my protection. I was born again because my mom discovered I was in some serious trouble when I was a junior in high school. She asked me if I wanted to pray about it. I asked her if it would help. She said, “It can’t hurt.” Then she asked me if I wanted to be baptized in the Holy Ghost. I asked her if it would help. She said, “It can’t hurt.” So I got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost and prayed with my mom that afternoon. Phil 4:6 6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition ( definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. She prayed with me, or for me no matter how big or small the need was. She loved praying for me before I got saved and seeing God move on my behalf. She prayed for my car once when it wouldn’t start, and it started immediately. I thought I would never hear the end of that, as I rolled my eyes. She never mentioned it again, but I could tell she enjoyed seeing Jesus bless me, keep me, and draw me home. Paul tells us when we sense a need in our lives, no matter how big or small, pray about it with thanksgiving. God loves to hear our prayers. They are like sweet incense to Him. My mom was a prayer warrior. She spent many days in prayer and in fasting for those she loved and cared for. I still long to emulate her prayer life.
