My mom used to get frustrated regarding what she saw as The scientists. Shed say They tell us this. Then they tell us the opposite. Scientific knowledge grows and changes with new information, but not as much as my poor mom was being led to believe. A new report, a new study, does not equal consensus; It doesnt even equal a new theory. It means more studies, peer review, possibilities. People get way too knee jerky about any new study that conflicts conventional wisdom. It is exciting, but hang on a minute. Let it go through some scrutiny. Youll be playing a better long game.
