My morning in a nutshell... Scatterbrained, mentally fatigued and misunderstood. So after a hard day yesterday I hastily rearranged my schedule because I thought I had a meeting with my managers on Wednesday in Grants Pass. I woke up early and hurried out the door to get ahead of schedule, but as I arrived at my first house I got a text from my boss asking why I changed my schedule because our meeting isnt until Wednesday Feb 4th... Face Palm. In that text message she also tried to insinuate that I hadnt worked enough hours this pay period and my anxiety and frustration level immediately flew thru the roof. I always work more than my scheduled hours and at this point even if I am a couple hours short Ive put in more than enough to cover in past weeks. In my upturned state I called my supervisor expecting the worst. I prepared to defend myself and stand my ground only to have her reassure me that she was pleased with my work and that it made no difference to her where I spent my hours as long as I was able to keep up the good work. She laughed off my mistake about the meeting and when I reminded her about the holiday she simply went on to say I should have known you already had it figured out . Text messages and email DO NOT CONVEY what people really feel. If you question what someone means in their texts get confirmation by hearing their voice before you assume anything.
